Two emerging businesses recognised in the 2018 Regional Showcase

Little Local Co and Ryde Clothing battled it out for the top spot among fifteen People’s Choice Award finalists in the 2018 Regional Showcase, shortlisted from a whopping 110 success stories across the state.

In their short year in business, Amy and Neil Chinsami’s Little Local Co. has emerged as a delicious shining beacon for travellers and locals alike in Tailem Bend. Enjoying a revival coinciding with the opening of The Bend Motorsport Park, the town has now welcomed the pair’s second venue, Kitchen, which will create healthy meals inspired by their Aboriginal and Fijian heritages.

Ryde Clothing’s Nathan Woodrow also has reason to emulate his own motto, ‘stay stoked’. Still in his teens, Nathan has a business mentor, works part-time while running his Murray River inspired sporting label, and dreaming up designs while skating.

At the awards night on 26 October at The Bend, the Tumby Bay Progress Association took home the coveted People’s Choice Award for transforming the Eyre Peninsula town with a stunning silo mural.

RDA Murraylands and Riverland congratulates the finalists for having their stories recognised.
