Siggi Frede is the Managing Director of Effektiver, a boutique strategic tourism consultancy supporting RDA, councils, regional tourism organisations, state government, industry associations and tourism operators to maximise opportunities in South Australia’s visitor economy.

The career of Siggi Frede…
With an MBA and over 25 years in management at airlines, tourism marketing firms (including 12 years at the South Australian Tourism Commission) her tourism expertise ranges from strategy and business planning, product development and experience design to all functions of consumer and trade marketing and marketing partnerships.
Siggi, a native German and Global Citizen, simply loves South Australia. She shares the vision, that our state can compete as a world-class culinary and nature-based tourism destination and is passionate about the State’s food and agritourism and nature-based opportunities.
Siggi has been involved as a facilitator and coach in various industry capabilities programs including the Tourism IQ and Service IQ Program, run the TiCSA, the ‘Growing your Visitation and Yield’ Program by the City of Onkaparinga, the RDA Expert in Residence Program Murraylands/Riverland, and two wine tourism capability building projects in the Adelaide Hills and Clare Valley Wine Regions. Her consultancy projects include a Tourism Strategy for Barunga West Council, the Fleurieu Peninsula Tourism Review, a Customer First Project for Sealink SA, the Botanic Gardens of South Australia Tourism Strategy, and Scotts Creek Retreat Riverland feasibility review.
In addition to consulting projects, Siggi is contracted as a part-time lecturer at the International College of Hotel Management (ICHM) where over the past four years she has delivered and developed courses on Strategy, Digital Marketing, Brand Management and Customer Relationship Management in the Bachelor and Master of Hospitality programs. Siggi is honoured to have been elected to the Board of the Tourism Industry Council South Australia (TiCSA) in 2018 and has been chairing the TiCSA Business Development and Finance committee since.
