Regional Highlight

Juggling working on your business and in it

As part of an ongoing partnership with the South Australian Tourism Industry Council, the Murray River, Lakes and Coorong Tourism Alliance and RDA Murraylands and Riverland hosted a customer service-focused bus tour of Hahndorf for our regional tourism operators. Participant and Master Juggler Kelly Kuhn gained fresh insights and new strategies for keeping all her balls in the air.

“The focus of our tour was next-level customer service,” says Kelly Kuhn, whose business Juggle House Experiences combines luxury limousine transfers with unique tailored experiences.

Kelly moved to the passenger seat for this tour, joining owners and managers of eleven regional tourism operations – including cafes, tour businesses, destination producers and accommodation providers – to connect with new perspectives in a real-world setting.

“Those first few minutes of interaction can really shape a customer’s experience.” “The follow-up is similarly crucial,” Kelly says. “Continuing that momentum and checking in has led to recommendations and repeat visits.”

Tour participants were also invited to contribute to a customer service charter for the region. For Kelly, that level of inclusivity and trust in setting their own benchmark is one of the priceless advantages to operating in a regional area.

In partnership with the SA Tourism Industry Council, tour participants also received a complimentary business coaching session, an online marketing audit, and a review of business capabilities and tourism marketing activities.
