With the introduction of the National Disability Insurance Scheme, or NDIS, there is an estimated $40 million of extra funding available to assist people with disability in the Murraylands and Riverland to access the supports they need.
The number of people receiving disability support in the Murraylands and Riverland will more than double by 2020 as a result of the National Disability Insurance Scheme (NDIS). That means that our region will soon have 300 extra jobs available in the disability sector.
