RBS Business Readiness Program: Workshops to help small businesses be proactive about risk assessment and planning.
While there has been increasing emphasis in recent years on reducing the personal, social and economic impacts of a natural disaster, there has been little focus on preparing businesses for events including fires, floods and even power outages during severe storms.
A new Rural Business Support (RBS) project which commenced in June 2018 aims to help 135 small rural and regional South Australian businesses be better prepared to withstand and survive natural disaster events, through proactive risk assessment and planning.
Funded under the Natural Disaster Resilience Program by the South Australian Government and the Commonwealth Department of Home Affairs, this project will be delivered by RBS via 27 workshops across regional SA between February 2019 and May 2019. The workshops are open to any small regional business with less than 20 employees.
Attendees only need basic computer knowledge and access to Adobe Reader.
