Connected Mallee
RDAMR is set to deliver Connected Mallee, a practical digital inclusion program that will support farmers across the Coorong and Mallee thanks to funding secured through the Foundation for Rural & Regional Renewal (FRRR) Strengthening Rural Communities – Small & Vital Grant, Round 26.

About the Project…
The program responds directly to what farmers have told us they need during ongoing drought: greater confidence using the online tools now essential to farming, business management and everyday life.
Connected Mallee will help farmers access key services such as MyGov, PIRSA supports, Farm Household Allowance, telehealth and financial counselling, while also strengthening skills in digital communication, market platforms, NLIS/eID systems and compliance tools.
Workshops will run from during March 2026 across the Coorong, Southern Mallee and Karoonda East Murray council areas, supported by one-on-one mentoring available through until April 2027. Sessions will be held in accessible community venues and tailored to seasonal pressures and local needs.
The program will benefit drought-affected farmers, older residents with low digital confidence and families seeking off-farm income or training pathways, while also reducing pressure on local councils and service providers by strengthening digital capability across the region.
Digital Skills & Compliance Workshops for Farmers
Connected Mallee Digital Skills & Compliance Workshops are designed specifically for broad acre farmers and graziers navigating today’s increasingly digital farming environment. From weather apps and market platforms to eID compliance, NLIS access and government support services, these practical sessions provide straightforward guidance to help producers make informed decisions with confidence.
Delivered in a supportive, hands-on format, the workshops focus on real-world application — reducing stress, improving access to reliable information, strengthening compliance capability and helping farmers stay connected to services and industry networks. Whether participants are confident online or just getting started, the program is designed to build practical digital skills that support farm productivity, resilience and long-term sustainability.
