Weathering the Storm is a series of workshops that have been designed to assist women to prepare themselves, their families and communities for natural disasters.The workshops aim to build resilience, networking and a sense of community among women so that they can support their families and community in the event of a natural weather event.This is a prime opportunity to gain the skills, knowledge and networks in preparation for these unplanned weather events.Date and Time:Monday 17 September 2018

Regional Development Australia Murraylands and Riverland  and the Renmark Paringa Council bring you this special fundraising screening of Suicide: The Ripple Effect, on Saturday 15th September at 1:00pm at Chaffey Theatre Renmark.John Dawkins - Premiers Advocate for Suicide Prevention, will be opening the screening and leading discussion after the screening.At age 19, Kevin Hines attempted to take his life by jumping from the Golden Gate Bridge. Seventeen years later, he still struggles with many of the same symptoms that led him to attempt to take his life, but he is on a mission to use his story to help others stay alive.Kevin takes a journey to better understand the ripple effects his suicide attempt had on his family, friends, and the first responders who helped save him.Doors will open at 12:30pm, film screening at 1pm.Tickets: $20.00 per person.
